The film is written by  Joanna Murray-Smith and Rachel Ward, is directed by Rachel Ward and produced by Bryan Brown. It follows a group of lifelong friends who reunite for a special birthday. As the wine flows tensions emerge between the friends, and secrets are revealed.

The film stars Bryan Brown (Sweet Country, Beautiful Kate), Sam Neill (Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Sweet Country), Greta Scacchi (War & Peace, Looking for Alibrandi), Jacqueline McKenzie (Safe Harbour, Romper Stomper), Richard E Grant (Gosford Park, Logan, Withnail & I), Logie winner Claire van der Boom (The Square, The Pacific, Masters Of Sex), AACTA Award and Logie winner Aaron Jeffery (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, McLeod’s Daughters, Underbelly), AACTA Award nominee Heather Mitchell (The Great Gatsby, A Place To Call Home, Griff The Invisible), AACTA Award nominee Matilda Brown (Let’s Talk About, Lessons From The Grave, Am I Okay) and newcomers Frances Berry and Charlie Vickers.

Palm Beach will be released in 2019.
